This journey began with my own story. Like so many of you, As a single parent juggling the demands of work, family, and building a business, I found myself overwhelmed and burned out. There were days when I barely had time to breathe—working a 14-hour day, traveling from one end of the city to the other, running a store, and trying to make sure my employees were taken care of. My health took a backseat, and I didn’t even realize I’d had two panic attacks until they were over. I was doing everything I could to keep things afloat, but inside, I felt like I was drowning.

I needed something—anything—that could help me feel grounded again. I wanted an outlet, a way to calm my racing mind and find peace amid the chaos. Meditation, mindfulness, and books became my lifeline. They taught me how to pause, breathe, and reconnect with myself, even on the hardest days. These practices didn’t solve all my problems overnight, but they gave me the tools to approach life with more clarity and calm. Most importantly, I realized that mindfulness isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up for yourself every single day.
